Rhombus is the leading company in the production and sale of ready mix concreate and concrete products. We are currently seeking to recruit for role of HR Assistant.

Job purpose

To manage the administrative aspects of the HR department

Job Description

1. Administration

Preparation of staff contracts using agreed upon templates

Preparing casuals/term staff payment schedules for signing

Preparation of Payroll submissions for new staff only

Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly T&A analysis and sending reports in the agreed formats to the HR Manager

Receiving all leave records and updating the online leave portal

Sending reminders and prompts of staff absence to line managers and supervisors

Enrolling new staff in the T&A system

 

2. Record Keeping

Keeping accurate records for leave, time and attendance, PPE issuance, staff uniform issuance, etc.

Accurate filing of all staff files and ensuring archived files are well documented

Carry out frequent audits of all staff records being kept, and escalation of inconsistencies discovered

 

3. HR Department Support

Assisting in staff induction in terms of staff introduction

Assist in training evaluations and organizing for training logistics

Sits in the welfare committee and makes follow-up on welfare committee recommendations

Following up on new staff documentations for staff files

Sending interview invites and regrets

Initiating the referencing process

Creating interview schedules for phone interviews

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in human resource management

Professional Membership at the Institute of Human Resource Management

At least 2 Years’ Experience Working in a busy environment in the Manufacturing sector

Demonstrated knowledge in basic human resource department operations

Creativity, organizing and planning skills

Accountability and utmost integrity
